Question for Virtual Villagers 4: The Tree of Life

Is there an easy way to catch those little crabs that come up from the sand on the beach. The children say they can't get them and adults say they are too fast to catch. Please help me . The grand feast is the only puzzle I have to finish please help me . What is the grand feast
