Question for Virtual Villagers 2: The Lost Children

My people keep dying because when the alge comes to the water I put them on the tech table to earn points for level 3 farming but due to lack of food they die. I also build the dam at the same time so I split them in half. My villagers won't breed as well, I am pretty stuck, can anyone help me?

You don't have to have level 3 farming just level 2 and you can get coconuts but you will run out fast so build the damn and harvest some crops

Guest answered:

Just use you're tech points to buy the level 2 farming so that you're farmers can learn how to get coconuts

Guest answered:

Its easy I will tell you step by step you have to be on lvl two for the coconuts and the coconuts to grow back but it takes it about 20 minutes and your pll might not breed if they breeded with someone else and had a kid with that person or they might be hungry or you know not in to each other or the age and last to get the villager on the other side ll you have to do I grab them but if they are children you have to wait until they RE THE AGE OF 14 TO CROSS BEACUSE children on the game can't swim

1. You should have at least one researcher on the tech table from the very beginning so you can get 1500 points & get level 2 farming as soon as possible.
2. Once you have Level 2 farming you put a farmer at a tree & he'll start picking them. The coconuts are worth less food value than the fish, tho, and there are only about 500 on each tree, so you need at least a couple researchers on the table amassing enuff points (5000) for Level 2 construction so you can build the dam, irrigate the field, and start crops going.
3. Even once you have the field, it takes a while to plant & water it before you have crops, so you need to plan ahead; fish till the algae comes & they won't fish any more, then live on coconuts till the crops can be harvested.
4. It's probably better not to encourage much population growth until you have the farm going well and have at least 600 food points for your 8 villagers

You need some for the table and some for the damn and coconuts and get 1 girl and 1 boy on breed and you will get more kids so when the adults die the kids will take over for level 3 farming!
