Finding Gold in France
I am trying to do an adventure in France looking for gold. I found it on an island. How can I get across the water to get it? How do I use the little boat?

When your sim reaches level 5 of the marshall arts skill, it gains the ability to meditate. At the peak of meditation (usually it takes an hour or two to get there) your sim gains the ability to teleport. You can then teleport (or "zeniport" as they call it) on to the island, and back again when you're finished. As far as I'm aware, this is the only way to get there.

every time i down lode a houses l put on adventures trip cina franch and egypt and i cant buy the houses i put o the lot please help

You have to buy them in the phone, under resorts. Then they will be you vacation home.Guest answered:
You should check to update your Sims 3 to at least Patch 42 or have the Seasons expansion installed. That is the update or expansion that allowed Sims to swim in ocean water. So you would be able to swim across along side doing the meditative teleport. You might be able to use the boats if you have the Island Paradise expansion as well installed.
