Question for Silent Hunter 5: Battle of the Atlantic

I am playing mission 1. I've sinked 3 targets and have plottet course to Kiel.
The map says about 900 km and 36 hours sailing. I can't use time compression. Do I have to sail for 36 hours??

Just abandon all sailing rates, and click immediatelly on Kriel, you shall get the time compression then.
