Question for Sacred Gold

How do you get the cheats to work? I always get a mesage like "nice try cheater" when I put in the "sys cheats 963". One site said to begin my game with the "/cheats=1" command line parameter, but I can't find where to put that and am not really 100% sure what they mean. I've tried it in a few places and none of them work.
