Can somebody tell me how the CM '03-'04 editor works?
I can only open a file, but it's a read only file.

yeah, I can before you start the game right click on the championship manager icon.
Go down to properties and click on that, click on general options from the top and look right at the bottom where it says attributes.
Then look over and unclick the read me only box, then press apply and ok. then load up as usual and it should work.
In your CM 03/04 folder, click on the data folder. Inside it, there is another folder called: db.
Open that and on each file in it, right click, properties and then un-check the "read only" box.
When you have done all of this, you should be able to use the editor to your heart's content.
It should ask you if you want to make a back-up file and you say yes.
