Where is the rope found I've been everywhere

Hi it took me a while to find it too. Put the raft and the paddles in the inventory boxes and click on the gears button and the paddles will go inside the raft. Go to the libary and go through the secret door in the bookcase to the safe. Go through the safe door and walk down the steps where there is a metal walkway surrounded by water. Go to the right of the metal way where there is a dry patch of ground and take the raft from the inventory and the gear button will show you can put the raft down. Climb in and you will automatically start rowing out to sea. You will arrived on a beach which has abandoned huts on it, explore the huts and you will find a wooden chest. Open the chest and you will find the rope.
