I'm not completely sure but I know during the races you'll see gas stations on the side of the road and if you pull into them it'll let you modify or fix or change cars hope this helps |

Stay at top speed away from walls and cars and try to keep as close to the short turns of the road (even if it on the opposite side of the road) as possible. Keep all your gained boost and use it all up at the last straight of the last checkpoint. This will help you complete the challenge. |
