Lone Ruin Cheats and Tips

Lone Ruin, developed by Cuddle Monster Games, is a pixelated roguelike full of fast paced action. With the ability to select your difficulty at the beginning of the game you can choose to ease into the game by starting off in easy mode, which is a great idea as it does take a few plays to get used to how the game works.

1. Check out the Different Modes

Playing through the survival mode will allow you different opportunities to get in some practice. The survival mode is particularly interesting and will test your roguelike skills to the limit, you need to survive 10 minutes in this mode and it's really tough!

2. Try different spells

Don't forget to try out all of the different spells in the game. They are all useful in their own way and some will be better suited to hitting the bosses and others the hoards. Check out the Barrage and Shards spells which are great to use if you are new to the game in the early levels. Don't forget you can always test out your spells on the dummies before the game starts.

3. Get Stuff

Always be on the lookout for upgrades and items that will help you, there is always stuff dropping on the map so keep an eye out. Health items you may not want to grab right away, and instead, wait for an opportune moment when you are low on health to get it.

4. Optimise your upgrades for synergies

Don't just take an upgrade when you are given the opportunity, work out which will work best with your current set up and strengths and weaknesses
