Dragon Ball: The Breakers is a 1-on-7 asymmetrical action game that takes place in the same universe as the Dragon Ball Xenoverse games. Take a look at our combat cheats and tips to get an advantage over the enemy in this game which is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Switch, and PC.
Seven ordinary citizens find themselves stranded in a Temporal Seam; they share their imprisonment with a Raider (a classic Dragon Ball rival such as Cell and Frieza), a menacing enemy from another timeline with overwhelming power who hunts them down. Their only hope to escape is to break out of the Temporal Seam with the Super Time Machine.
Below is a collection of hints and tips that will help you to progress in the game playing either a survivor or the raider. These include why it is important that survivors keep the D-Change Gauge Full and why raiders need to make sure they finish off survivors whenever they get the opportunity.
Don't waste your active skills on general map traversal, it is far more beneficial to save them for moments when you need to make a quick escape from a raider straight after setting a power key or in the moments leading up to an area being destroyed.
It is important that you become familiar with the different skills the survivors have and what they are capable of doing.
If you are playing as a survivor in Dragon Ball: The Breakers it is essential that you communicate with the other six survivors and work as a team to have any chance of succeeding. Survivors need to focus their efforts on finding and setting keys in order to help the rest of the team.
It is also important while doing so that they keep an eye out for downed teammates and do whatever they can to revive them as surviving will become almost impossible once the raider has taken out three or four of the team.
In Dragon Ball: The Breakers your D-Change gauge will start at zero but once full you will be at the first tier which will enable you to use the Change Level 1 Transphere you have equipped. Level 2 will let you use your second, and Level 3 will let you use your third.
To raise the level of your D-Change gauge you need to collect Power Cubes or Power S items. Make sure you collect them, so you keep the D-Change Gauge full and have the ability to transform and utilize the abilities of your three chosen Dragon Ball heroes to either deal damage or escape from a raider.
It is important to remember that you will be very vulnerable during the early stages of a match when you are playing a raider in Dragon Ball: The Breakers. You should therefore avoid conflict with the survivors until after your first transformation which can be quickly achieved by hunting for civilians in caves which provide a risk-free source of energy.
Destroy Zones Tactically
Resist the temptation to use this ability straight away and instead hold onto it for when a tactical benefit arises. An example of this is to wait until the moment that one of the last two keys has been picked up by a survivor and then take out the area immediately.
It is crucial that you always finish off survivors, so you remove them from the match whenever you get the opportunity because although they are weak individually they can become a formidable unit towards the end of a match when they have had the chance to increase their D-Change gauge to Level 2 or 3.
If you can take a few of the survivors out before the Super Time Machine stage it will help you considerably. Keep in mind also that when you remove a survivor from the game you will also increase your energy level and take one step closer to your raider's next Dragon Ball transformation.
