The immortal man on island 3/4 (I can't remember which island it is) is very useful. Around him is a little patch which you can cast spells or pick things up. Why do you think it's always so easy to throw him even once he's out your influence? It's because he does really believe in you and gives you extra influence.

If you can throw well, have some miracles at hand and throw him into an enemy village.

Then cast your miracle in the village i.e lightning to kill everyone in the village closest to you so it will be your village. Then use him to kill the wolves which the enemy God sends.

Then throw him really far into the other village and poison their food, burn the forset or burn their buildings. Just watch that little man, cause he runs real fast. This means you get your creature back really quickly, so you can beat the $*** out of that wolf.

If you let Lethys live, but the portal closes, don't worry. All you need to is either capture/recapture all villages and destroy his temple. Either that or kill Lethys and then recapture all villages and the wolf will work for you.
