Introduction

The introduction to One Piece Unlimited Adventure is really rather silly. What it shows is the Crew on the Thousand Sunny right in the beginning. After Luffy and crew get their new outfit from Nami, he tries to put food inside the over sized pockets of his. When he returns later, he's like We're all out of Food. After Ussop tells him about the Eating Contest, they all get furious, and pound Luffy, Ussop, and Chopper for the Eating Contest. This is when Luffy discovers his "Orb" and later discovers the Island where the Orb was from. More over, it gets more exciting from there, as you get to fight as the Strawhat Pirates. But when you get the rest of your Crew, since you start off as just Monkey D. Luffy, you must travel through the Fossil Beach, the first area of the game, to find the rest of your Crew. Then you'll set up your camp area after you get everyone. Later in the game, though I won't tell you how, But you'll be able to make more and more things in camp, that'll make it more interesting, and exciting for the game. But more over, if you want to know more about how this game turns out, Especially how it ends, You'll have to just buy the game and find out for yourself Smile

Graphics

The graphics, from playing overall throughout the whole game, are more or less better than most three dimensional game's seen. On the occasional side, there are a few problems that give it a set back for the US version of the game. When there is a Marine fight, with the Bazooka Marines, and multi fire, the game lags a lot, making it hard to see whats going on. Its because of the fact that the game takes a while to process whats happening, so it can speed back up for the game to continue. It stops after you defeat those enemies. But my overall rating for the Graphics, is a 9 out of 10. Only because of the lag from those fights. If it was not for the Lag in different areas for those specific fights This game would definetly get a perfect 10 for Graphics. Since thats it's only problem, it gets just a 9. Though it's still A very good rating for as far as games go. One other small part to the game thats noticeable in a problem, is the Graphics when fighting the Evil Master Beast, the final Boss, is that his attacks are hard to see coming. If you don't know where they're at, you'll have a hard time seeing it since they move fast. Causing the graphics to be a bit iffy on just that part. But it's not bad enough to affect the rating for Overall Graphics of the game.

Sound

When playing One Piece Unlimited Adventure, the sound of the game is Rather loud, but efficient for the game. The title screen, it's Very loud when loading it, and the voices when hearing the characters talk is pretty good as well. From what I have noticed in the game, the sound isn't bad at all. Especially the boss music. The sound is so good, it can actually let you hear every detail you make, especially walking, and suddenly stopping quickly from running. There is also the Addition to the game, at the end of it really, where you are able to play back every video clip you've ever seen in the game, when fighting bosses, or having a flashback when gaining a crew member back to fight as in the game. There is also the Music option of the game where you can play every game sound that was used in the game. So for example, if you fought the Evil Master Beast, and defeated him, you're able to play his music, without even fighting him once again. This option is rather useful when you're just sitting back in the room wanting to play Music from the game. So now as for where I rate the Sound for a ranking, I give a 10 out of 10 because of the Mini Gallery in the Camp of Story mode, allowing you to play back your favorite track, or rewatch all the flashbacks from the entire One Piece storyline.

Gameplay

Gameplay overall, Its really interesting, especially to know what happens later on after a certain area. If you're a true One Piece fan, and own a Wii, this game is perfect to get. Other reviews say it's uninteresting, but they aren't true One Piece players. Once you get through one part of the game, like say in Silver Mountains, Boss 1: Portgas D. Ace, after you beat him, you wonder Who it is you fight next. You get so anxious to know who you fight for the final boss of the area. The items in the game are rather extensive, making you want to get the read of the items so you can make more and more items overall. Fishing is another fun part about the Game. There are many locations to Fish from in the game as a Whole. About 2 or more locations in the game to fish from, in all areas. You also get to catch things with a Net. So this helps add to the excitement and fun ware of the game. Another item you get to use is a Pick Axe. Capable of destroying Rocks, Steel Rocks, Finding Treasure Chests, and gaining items from the ground. There is also the Gallery, Theme Changer, and Character Clothes Changer. You're able to change how you look once you get the right items. So my rating for Gameplay is a 10 out of 10. There is another part to the game that isn't just the Story Mode. Once you beat Story Mode, there are two additional features to the game. You get to pick either Survival Mode, or Vs Mode. Vs Mode you can use any of the characters you've fought with, or against in Story Mode. So you can fight the Evil Master Beast against Whitebeard, like a Computer Vs a Computer to see who would win. But more over, Survival Mode is fun to play in because it gives you about 150 opponents to defeat in as fast a time as you can go. There is also the Power Ranking for each character. Giving them their own Category of Difficulty for strength. It shows this in the Vs Mode Character Select, and Survival Mode Character Select. This also helps add to training for Story Mode if it's needed to be used to fight over again. If the ratings could go higher than 10, this would easily be a 15 out of 10 for the game play. The characters in Storymode you can fight as, obviously, are the Strawhat Pirates. But those eight are the following: Monkey D. Luffy, Roranoa Zoro, Ussop, Nami, Sanji, Tony Tony Chopper, Nico Robin, Brother Franky. Each character can utilize their own special moves in the game, but are also unique to them only. This, too, helps add to the excitement of the Gameplay and makes you want to use them more, but there are some moves, the Final Attacks, that are used only if enough Special Power is left. Which makes the game more and more fun to play though it's a long storyline, it's still very fun.

Lastability

The lastability for the game, really is very good. It's not about just beating it, and then going "Yeah, I win. So I am finished with this game." No. Thats not the point of the game. The game is able to last long if you're a Maximizer. Like each Character has a set of moves. All moves when first starting out, get to a Max Level of 5. Once you get to the Cave of Darkness, you get the Level to Master Level of 10. For Every Character. The game lasts long enough to get every character to Lv 10 for each move, To get Every Item once, To beat every Boss two times, To create all the items from a mixture of items you get, and to increase your Health Power from it's standard to 2000 as well as the Special Power to it's maximum of 2000. Because of all this the game has to offer, I rate Lastability a 10 out of 10. Like stated in Gameplay, Story Mode isn't alone. You get to fight Vs Mode, and Survival Mode as well, making it more fun to play as any of the opponents in One Piece Unlimited Adventure. Though Survival Mode isn't really hard if you've fought Spandam in Story Mode with all his Marines there to attack you. Its still very addictive, and a good way to have fun in the land of One Piece, other than reading it, or watching the Show.

Overall

Overall for this game, I give it a 10 out of 10. Because it's true to the Story Line, You get to fight as your Favorite Strawhat Pirate, or against your favorite Pirate from Enies Lobby and back. The game gets to the point of the One Piece storyline where Monkey D. Luffy has defeated Rob Lucci of the CP9 in Enies Lobby after they Capture Nico Robin and almost seal her away from the world forever. The Graphics, as stated before are excellent, except for the lag. Which gets really annoying. The Sound quality is exceptionally well for video games. The Gameplay is really addictive once you're into the game, and the Lastability really hooks you for trying to maximize each character, Hard as it is, or isnt. The boss fights are also whats most important to the Overall Rating. Once you fight the first bosses, and other required Bosses, you advance to the next area, after increasing your OP count, and gaining one more until you get to your 6th OP. When the game Finishes, after you defeat Whitebeard, it gets to a Maximum of 10 for each OP position. But the fun part of it is, Each boss gets a power boost on the second fight. So the more you battle and train, the better you become, and are able to overtake this Challenge of the game. Now if you are a True One Piece Fan, you'll love playing Overall in Survival mode with someone like Shanks or Whitebeard. Since they're hard to defeat, and have not many moves, their attacks are overpowered from normal moves, and their defenses are insane for a character. Vs Mode with them also is fun because you can play Friends in the game with these Characters. Seeing as there are about 40 different Characters in the game to play as, You can have a very fun time playing with everyone. This game is Highly recommended to get if you don't own it already. If you do, then you know what I am talking about in here. But now if this rating could exceed 10, I'd rate this game, guaranteed, a 30 out of 10 because it is Such a Fun game to play. The ending is also rather funny when you look at it, too. Though Its more fun after you get to fight every character, so you can use everyone in the Vs Mode for a quick battle. But yeah, If you don't own this game, And you own a Wii, I recommend you to buy it if you like One Piece, or just Fighting games period. But if you own it, then you already know how fun the game is, or can be.

Final Score: 98%
