Note: These are in standard mode.
  A game without controls would be the weirdest thing ever! Luckily, Super Mario 64 DS Has some:
 
B Button: Jump
A Button: Punch or Swallow (if you are Yoshi)
X Button: Zoom Camera
Y Button: Run
D-Pad: Walk
D-Pad + Y: Dash
Left Trigger: Center Camera
Right Trigger: Crouch
B > R: Ground Pound
Hold R + D-Pad: Crawl
Hold B if Yoshi: Flutter Kick
Y + D-Pad > R > B: Long Jump
B > B: Double Jump
B > B > B: Triple Jump
R > A: Sweep Kick
A > A > A: Kick
Y + D-Pad > R > A: Slide Kick
A near object: Pick it up (kinda dangerous with Bom-ombs)
A near object > A: Throw object
R > B: Backflip
B > A: Jump Kick
B onto pole > D-Pad: Climb Pole/Tree
B at wall > slide down wall > B: Wall-jump

Alright! Now that you know how to play the game, it�s time we save Mario, Luigi, & Wario.
This will be in order you get them.

                                                 (] 2A. Mario [)

   Requirements: -Have at least 8 stars
                        
From the castle lobby, go up the stairs and into the door with the 1 on it. Follow the carpet to the double doors. Don�t bother with Toad; just go in the 8 door. What a tiny room! Just a bench, a window, and a painting of Mario. Jump in one of the three (obviously, the painting).  You will be in a big place. Don�t worry, it�s not hard. The only thing deadly is the purple water and the pit around the level. Go strait. If you�re at raising and falling logs, you�re in the right place. Jump across these carefully; the logs fall into the water. When you make it across, go strait again. You will see a vine. Grab it and climb up.
Go to the very tippy-top of it if you want a 1-up Mushroom. Avoid the Goombas on the bridge as you walk across. Jump into the hole (If you want an advantage on Goomboss, eat a Goomba and jump into the hole, as you�ll have it when you land!). Anyway, Goomboss will complain about how Mario always squashes the Goombas and then Goomboss will want to crush you. The point here is to run around the arena, eat a Goomba, come back around, and throw the egg at his face. Do this three
times, it�s hard the third time, and you�ll get the key to Mario�s room! However, if you die while battling Goomboss, you won�t come out of the Mario painting. Just the hole you jump in to �visit� Goomboss! Awesome!

Into the Castle

Now that you have Mario, we can save Luigi-wait! Did I say �we�? I meant �you�!
Go in the �M� door (for Mario, what else?) in the room with the Peach paintings. Mario will happily flip out the door! 
After the introduction for Mario, run out the normal door. Then go in one of the wooden doors; it doesn�t matter which one. If you have 15 stars, follow that Boo! Or if it�s small, go back and get more stars. Anyway, Ground Pound/punch the biggest Boo and jump in the cage.

Requirements: -Have 15 stars
-Have control of Mario

   Choose the first star or any other if you played this level before. So go into the Mansion. Jump up the stairs (or triple jump to the top floor) and go into the door on the east side. RUN!!!! If you stand still, you�ll get hit by a book (ouch)! Well, the bottom-right corner is safe, AND it�s where we�re going! Wall- jump or use the Power Flower to get to another door. There�s the Luigi painting! And who wouldn�t jump in it!? Now you�re in a room with four doors (Gee! What is it with doors in this game!?). Choose the right (direction) one. Here is the order for the next three doors: left, right, left, right, right. Go strait. Ride the platforms to the higher platform. Fall into the hole. 10 coins. 1empty room. 1 mirror. To make 1 King Boo, go up to the mirror and stay still. Your reflection turns into Luigi�s! King Boo will appear and thinks that you�ll get scared stiff because of him. Oh, think again, Boo! What you have to do is punch him in the side or ground pound him three times. He goes in and out of the mirror, so if he does pretend you�re Luigi on the other side. When you�ve nailed him three times, the key will blast out of the mirror. Grab it!    �Here we go!!�

Into the Castle (again)

When you have 30 stars, get Luigi out of the room. Go in the double doors in the main lobby of the castle. Run up those stairs and into another door. Go right to the door in the dented wall. Power Flowers!  Snag one and run through (I�m not kidding! Through! ) the mirror.

Requirements: -have beaten Bowser in the Fire Sea
-have control of Mario & Luigi
-have 30 stars

Jump into the Wario painting. You�ll be in ice-world. Luckily, the path here is linear until the end. So, anyway, slide down the ramp. The wind will push you to an ice island. Kill the Bullies anytime in this level if they get annoying. Jump/Walk across these platforms to another island with a Bully. Quickly jump on the moving platform to more like an iceberg. Get the power flower to make this easy. Jump of the platform. If you don�t soar by a red coin, you�re gonna plummet to your doom. If you land in a pool, GET OUT! You�ll freeze if you stay in too long. Hurry past those dumb Bullies and you�ll find moving platforms going in every which-way. Be careful on these! They�re slippery. When you reach a big island, avoid the snowmen and find a way to get to the top. Once you have gotten there, jump into the hole. You will land in front of Chief Chilly. He is kind of like an ice-bully, but (way) bigger. Now he thinks his moustache is better than yours and is going to fight you. What you have to do is Slide Kick him off the edge of the arena. Every time you do, he makes the arena smaller. The last time, he won�t go off the edge all the way! Just one punch when he�s on the edge will kill him. He will then say that he needs to go home and trim his moustache. The Wario key is all yours!!

Go to the character room and go in the W door. You�ll come out as Wario! Congratulations! You�ve got all the characters!
