Introduction

Hi, my name is Ryan aka Sonictrainer and this is the fourth guide I�ve posted
online and the first guide I�ve ever done for a Pok�mon game. I made this
guide to so people wouldn�t have to take the Personality Quiz 100 times before
getting the starters they wanted.
If you look in the Prima Guide at the Personality Quiz Questions and answers,
you�ll notice on other side the divider lines are in the wrong place, giving
certain questions the wrong choices.

1. Background Info
---------------------------------------------
Pok�mon or Pocket Monsters is a popular RPG that started in 1996. The game is
based on creatures with different abilities that a human could use to conquer
other humans to prove who is the best aka Pok�mon Masters. Overtime, spinoff
versions of Pok�mon were made that are somewhat similar to the main RPG games.
Mystery Dungeon is one of the more popular ones. This is the first time an
expansion has been added to a spinoff version though.
2. Starter/Partner Pok�mon Info
--------------------------------------------
Unlike in Pok�mon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time/Darkness, there are 5 new
starters that can be chosen and well as a few new partner Pok�mon.
The Starter you get through the personality quiz is the main character you can
control in the main game.

Once you�ve obtained the starter Pok�mon from the Personality Quiz, you can
choose your partner, which is another Pok�mon who will aid you in every
dungeon. However, they cannot be the same type as your starter. Also, watch
your partner�s back in the dungeons, because if they get defeated, you get
defeated.

3. How the Quiz Works
------------------------------------------------
Like the last Pok�mon Mystery Dungeon games, the Personality Quiz is based on
8 random questions (or more) with each answer adding points to a certain
nature. Each nature represents a Starter Pok�mon with a specific gender as
shown in the following chart.

In total, there are 16 different natures: Brave, Bold, Calm, Docile, Hardy,
Hasty, Impish, Jolly, Lonely, Na�ve, Quiet, Quirky, Rash, Relaxed, Sassy, and
Timid. Depending on the gender and nature, you can get the Pok�mon you want.
When you first start the Quiz, this will always be the first question:

Although it seems like this question is useless since it doesn�t raise any
nature points, it will do this: If you choose �Yes� to this question you will
most likely get questions that will increase your chances of becoming one of
the newly added Starter Pok�mon (Vulpix, Eevee, Phanpy, Skitty, Shinx, and
Riolu). Also, your chances of recruiting Pok�mon into your Team will be higher.
Besides the first question and last question (which asks about gender) all the
other questions are random.

Player P picked �Totally!� So now their Brave Score is 2, their Relaxed score

Now, their potential starter is Pikachu, Charmander, Riolu, or Totodile since
both Brave and Sassy have the same score.
In the event the score is tied towards the end, an extra question will be
added to break the tie.

Note: Right now, I�m not sure if there�s any significant difference between
picking a boy or girl version of the Pok�mon you want. If there is, let me
know. However, be aware that some of the starters are only available to one
gender (Vulpix, Eevee, Phanpy, Skitty, Shinx, and Riolu).

Q: Should I get this game?
A: If you like Pok�mon, liked/played the original PMD games, but haven�t
played Explorers of Time/Darkness yet, I would recommend this version.
Otherwise you can rent it.
Q: Which Starter/Partner should I pick?
A: Each starter and partner has their own strength and weaknesses, so whatever
you pick is good.
Q: How do I get a (color) Bow?
A: I�m not sure what determines the color of the bow. I heard that it matches
the color of the DS the game originally starts in. I also believe the bow is
affected by the Pok�mon you end up with.
Q: When can I evolve my starter?
A: After defeating Darkrai, go and complete some missions. Then, Manaphy will
appear and ask to join your team. After saying �Yes,� complete some more
missions. What happens next is that Manaphy will appear in the morning and
tell you about the Marine Resort. Next, when you go into Treasure Town, the 2
Ursaring will tell you that Luminous Spring has changed. Now you can evolve
your starter and partner.
