This game is known as Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation, formerly known
as Realms of the Reverie (though technically both fit the story). Dragon Quest
is a rather straight-forward RPG series that started the JRPG and inspired
Final Fantasy. This game is the 6th in the series, and the second to include
a class system.

*NOTE*- Instant death added to weapons does not work like Death Magic or
Skills and the effect cannot be affected by monster resistances, meaning they
have the same chance to work on every single enemy. The sole exception is Boss
and Sub-Boss enemies who are always immune to this effect.
