Deeper Into the Characters
--------------------------
Bumper
How to unlock: Starter Character
No one is really 'bad' but still Bumper and everyone else who is listed
under 'average' should be avoided. Unless you really like moles stay
away from him.

Diddy Kong
How to unlock: Starter Character
Even though this is his game he is really not that good. There are
other people faster than him and are others how can handle a lot better
than Diddy, sorry.

Dixie Kong
How to unlock: Starter Character
Dixie Kong is the same as Diddy Kong, the only difference being the
sex. Unless you really like monkeys she is also a character you should
avoid being for the reasons listed above.

Krunch
How to unlock: Starter Character
Now if you are looking for a fast character Krunch is your man. He may
not accelerate that fast but once he is on the track and has his speed
up few will catch him. Downside, he is hard to control at times.

Pipsy
How to unlock: Starter Character
I don't know how she always manages to stay in first on single player;
she is the slowest character in the game. If you can some how keep her
up in front with the other racers she will be a very good character for
you. She reaches her top speed in seconds and she handles very nice.

Timber
How to unlock: Starter Character
Mostly everyone who starts off playing this game will choose Timber, I
did. Timber is overall average; I wanted to give him a higher score but
just couldn't see nothing went lower than a three or higher. If you're
starting off and want a character that is average in everything Timber
is your tiger. He will keep up with everyone and handle almost if not
better than everyone else.

Tiny Kong
How to unlock: Starter Character
See reason for Dixie and Donkey Kong.

TipTup
How to unlock: Starter Character
TipTup has the same stats as Pipsy and works the same way, only
difference being the creature and sex. Basically if you liked Pipsy but
wanted a different creature and one that was male, well here you go.

Drumstick
How to unlock: In the main part of the island to the left of the
Wizpig's statue of his face will be an elevated land where at the top
it looks like some grass on the wall that makes a frogs head, what
could that mean? Get close to a frog on the ground and with your stylus
pull up on the frog and aim for the top near the grass frog head. It
may take awhile, but when you have it a frog with part of a chickens
head will pop out and start bouncing very high. Do your first murder
and run it over. You have now unlocked Drumstick.
Drumstick is a little better than all the starter characters and he is
the first thing you should do when you start off your new game. Since
he is easy to get and has better stats than all the other starter
characters he is a must have to use though out most of the game unless
other characters are unlocked. He is best used in a plane.

Taj
How to unlock: Collect all 47 Balloons, have the full Wizpig Amulet,
and get all gold trophies in all the worlds. Go to Future Fun Land once
you have all of the items above and start the final Wizpig battle. Once
Wizpig is down for the count you will have unlocked Taj.
Even though you will have beaten the game 100 percent Taj is great for
multiplayer games. He is one of the fastest racers in the game but
should only be used in a Cart.

T.T.
How to unlock: Beat all of his Time Trails and collect the all of the
T.T. amulet. You must beat him in every Time Trail level in every
vehicle. Once you have done this you can use him.
T.T. he is one stat away from being perfect and he is an all around
good character in ever vehicle. I have heard that his stats are not
true but I haven't seen any facts on this yet. He is best used in a
Hovercraft.

Wizpig
How to unlock: Complete Adventure two to unlock Wizpig.
Wizpig's stats my look bad at first glance but he is still a good
racer. He accelerates faster than his stats say and he will keep you up
near first or in first because of his speed. His handling is loose
though so at times he will become hard to drive.

----
Tips
----
When hitting a land, air, or water boost let go of the acceleration
just as your about to hit it to get a bigger longer boost.

While in a hovercraft, start turning before you hit a turn, but not to
steep of a turn. A gentle turn will get you past.

Before you even play the first level, unlock Drumstick. He is the
easiest secret character to unlock, and is better than all the other
starting characters.

Never get directly in front of someone or behind some one. They will
most likely have a missile on them or an oil slip.

Always at the start of the race try and get the boost, it will
determine at certain levels if you are going to win or not. Once you
are in first you most likely will not lose it.

Walkthrough WALKT
===========
----------
The Island
----------
The game kicks off with a cut scene of Timber and his friends running
away. In the end Diddy gathers up everyone and heads off to the island.
You are greeted by Taj who will teach you the basics of how to use each
vehicle.

First off, rub his magic lamp and than enter your name you want to use.
You will than be told to make an icon. If you don't feel like spending
time on it you can always come back, but first you have to at least
draw a quick dot on it to be able to continue. Now you must race
against Taj, don't worry, it is almost impossible to lose to him, all
you need to do is follow the tokens around the island and he will
reward you will a balloon.

To your left will be a ramp that will take you to your first race
areas, Dino Domain. The door with the numbers on them indicates how
many balloons it will take to enter each area. The number of balloons
you have is located at the bottom right of the top screen.

-----------
Dino Domain
One balloon
-----------
Ancient Lake - One balloon
Fossil Canyon - Two balloons
Jungle Falls - Three balloons
Hot Top Volcano - Five balloons

Ancient Lake / Cart / Very Easy
When you first enter Dino Domain the only area you can enter is Ancient
Lake. It is located straight from where you entered Dino Domain.
Ancient Lake is a very short and simple course. There is nothing hard
about this level. There are many power ups to take and some boosters to
go over.
*Secret* When the level first kicks off grab a blue balloon and make
your way right into the grass. You will see a ramp, start going and hit
your special to make you go faster, aim for the key and grab it. Finish
the race to keep it and unlock a door in Dino Domain.

Fossil Canyon / Cart / Very Easy
To the right after leaving Ancient Lake is Fossil Canyon. Just a bit
longer than Ancient Lake and just a bit more corners to turn. By the
time you get on lap three you should be well ahead of the others, take
this time to collect tokens you have missed, you will want them later
on in the game.

Jungle Falls / Cart / Easy
To the left after leaving Fossil Canyons past Ancient Lake is Jungle
Falls. The map is in the shape of a poorly draw circle that looks more
like a blob than it should. The computers are now going to start and
use weapons against you if you get to close to them. Other than that
this is like a run in the park. It is almost as simple as the last but
you will not be as far ahead as you where on Fossil Canyon.

Around The Island / Plane / Very Easy
Exit Dino Domain and move forward a bit till the gene Taj stops you.
This time you will be flying a plane around the island. Just follow the
tokens like last time and he will reward you with a balloon you can use
to enter the final level before the boss. If you want to change your
vehicle at any time go and speak with Taj.

Hot Top Volcano / Plane / Very Easy
As you enter make your way left, keep holding left till a door opens,
it is Hot Top Volcano. If you had no problem flying around in the Plane
with Taj than this will be easy as pie. There are a lot of tokens to
collect and two or three booster rings to fly though. If you are in
second or some one is close up behind you get a red balloon, mix it
with an up arrow token, and than hit X. It will make three missiles fly
around you when you hit L, when some one gets close to you or you get
close to someone else one will fly off and hit them. Watch out for the
dinosaur when near the end, he can slow you down a lot if hit.

Boss Battle / Cart / Easy
You can't miss this door. It has the Wizpig's head with red eyes and
has two hands hold rings. Going near it will swing it back and the boss
will be there to greet you as you enter. It is a dinosaur who even
tells you he will go easy on you. It is a race up the mountain going
round and round. At first he will pass you, but within a hit of a
missile you will have the lead for the rest of the level. Now you have
to go back into all four levels and pop some balloons!

Ancient Lake - Six balloons
Fossil Canyon - Seven balloons
Jungle Falls - Eight balloons
Hot Top Volcano - Ten balloons

Ancient Lake / Magic Carpet / Easy
Twenty-five balloons needed to be popped to pass. Sixteen coins are on
the course and fifty balloons. If you don't have the stylus for your
touch screen you are in for some trouble. I had to use my finger and I
beat all of them by one balloon. If you have it this should be a walk
in the park. Click on the balloons to pop them and if you have time
drag a coin into your pouch at the bottom right of the lower screen.
There is only one lap so make sure you get what you came for.

Fossil Canyon / Magic Carpet / Very Easy
Twenty-five balloons needed to be popped to pass. Fifth-teen coins are
on the course and fifty balloons. This is pretty simple. The balloons
are more spend out at places and at times the magic carpet will go fast
than slow.

Jungle Falls / Magic Carpet / Easy
Twenty-five balloons needed to be popped to pass. Eight coins are on
the course and fifty balloons. The magic carpet goes kind of fast in
this course but the balloons are so close to each other you can pop
five balloons within two seconds. Some balloons are really far away and
kind of hidden if you are going for all fifty keep your eyes open.

Around The Island / Hovercraft / Very Easy
The hovercraft is hard to control and if you turn to steep your
hovercraft will start to go the other way. It is hard to master but the
rewards for it are even greater. Follow his trail of tokens and he will
reward you will a balloon.

Hot Top Volcano / Magic Carpet / Very Easy
Twenty-five balloons needed to be popped to pass. Eleven coins are on
the course and fifty balloons. Getting all fifty balloons are extremely
hard. Some you see only for a split second. This level takes quick
reflexes, but to pass this level it is very simple.

Second Boss Battle / Cart / Normal
Same as the last boss battle expect he will pass you even after you
shoot him so keep some red balloons on you at all times. Every time he
gets close to you make sure you are far away from him as possible, he
will run you over making you into a pancake or throw you up into the
air making you far behind him. If he is about to pass you and you have
a missile on you let him than shoot him.

Boss Touch Challenge / Cart / Hard
You will use your touch screen though this whole race, and let me tell
you it is one hard race. You can only draw a certain amount of lines at
a time before you have to let your ink recharge (top scene left). You
move by drawing lines and than putting you stylus on the wheel and
sliding it right. The wheel will move off the touch scene and you will
be moving. You must keep on drawing lines to steer and when the wheel
in the bottom left hand corner comes back you must put your stylus on
it and slide it right. You don't have to get any items on for this boss
battle as long as you can keep control of your Kart. If you want to
pick up an item draw a line over it so you Kart will follow that line
though and get it. Tips on how to beat him: Don't drive to close to
him, if you do you risk getting ran over or thrown into the air. Look
only at the touch scene. Sure the top looks way better but you will be
able to see where you are drawing and when you need to move the wheel.
Draw a line before the race starts; doing so you will only need to move
the wheel and you will be good from there on. Good job if you have
beaten him, you just have earned yourself 100 coins, now go spend it on
something.

T.T. Race / Cart / Easy
If you haven't gotten the key from Ancient Lake go back into it and get
it. When you enter though the now unlocked door you will be told to
make a line from one clock to the other using the touch screen. Now you
will be told to make a box my connecting the clocks. After you are done
connecting the clocks you will be told to draw a line on one of the
four straight-aways, do so and the race will start. T.T. is not hard
but he will be right behind for most of the race. Don't worry if you
fall off the edge because he probably will to; just keep some red
balloons on you if you are worried.

Trophy Race / Cart and Plane / Normal
In between Fossil Canyon and Hot Top Volcano is a carven that will lead
to a stand. Move near it and select 'yes' for the trophy race. The
racers are faster and smarter but still for most of the races you
should have no problem, the races are the four of Dino Domain and they
are back-to-back, meaning no break. The points break down as this;
first place (9 points), second place (7 points), third place (5
points), fourth place (3 points), fifth place (1 point), seventh and
eighth place (0 points).

------------------
Snowflake Mountain
Two balloons
------------------
Everfrost Peak - two balloons
Walrus Cove - three balloons
Snowball Valley - six balloons
Frosty Village - nine balloons

Everfrost Peak / Plane / Easy
You will be turning your plane left and right though out this race, it
is in a shape of a figure eight. The easiest way to win this race is to
just pick up and upgradeable token and a red balloon. Keep picking
these up and transforming them to make three homing missiles to keep
the lead or take it. If you are still having a bit of trouble with this
level hit every ground and air boost there is.

Walrus Cove / Cart / Normal
This level can get kind of hard at times if you are not paying
attention to the road. At times you will be traveling on a thin sheet
of ice with water all around you to slow you down. You will be also
going over jumps that if not hit right can end you up in the water
also. As long as you don't hit that many walls you will be tailing the
first place person though out this whole match. Just hit the racer once
or twice with a red balloon or an upgraded red balloon to take first.

Snowball Valley / Cart / Hard
The other racers in the level love to shoot missiles, so never stay
directly in front of someone and to be safe, in the back either. They
will shoot some oil slip at you so fast that you will lose any chance
of winning this race. Always have a red balloon on you and use it to
shoot it at anyone who you know you will be able to hit. A blue balloon
with the upgradeable token is also great if you can keep getting it to
autopilot.
*Secret* When you are about to cross the finish line, turn to the left
and up the hill were the fence is. To the right of that will be a
little hole where a key lays to unlock a door in Snowflake Mountain.

Frosty Village / Cart / Easy
Take the lead early within the first lap and it will be a walk in the
park. Hit just about every boost there is and keep an upgraded red
balloon on you and you will be fine.

First Boss Battle / Hovercraft / Normal
The giant walrus is not that hard if you can blow into your microphone
right at the start and get it to the top. You will have a big lead on
him and have no problems till about half way though. Every time the
course slopes down a bit, jump, it will make you go father and just a
tad faster. At the start there will be a red balloon to the left pick
it up and keep going. You do not need to but it will be a lot easier if
you pick up another red balloon along the way. Do not shoot him once
till the very end where it is a straightaway. If you have one balloon
shoot him with it and keep pushing the R button, it makes you go a bit
faster. If you have the five missiles, unload on him. Now you have to
go back into all four levels and pop some balloons!

Everfrost Peak - ten balloons
Walrus Cove - eleven balloons
Snowball Valley - fourteen balloons
Frosty Village - sixteen balloons

Extras (Secrets)	EXSEC
================
Hidden Balloon one
Location - area near Snowflake Mountain.
As you enter though the waterfall or though the cave to your right will

frozen balloon and than slide in which ever way you want it to go. Have
it go down the pathway and than slide it into the water. It will now
travel down the water into the ocean. The unfrozen balloon will be near
the light house.

Hidden Balloon two
Location - area near the light house to the right of the waterfall.
Go near the rocks and click on the hand on the touch screen. Using the
small rocks (ones in the middle) connect them all, you should have

the string, click the back button. A balloon will pop out if you have
done it right.

Hidden Coins one

connected the lines to six rocks. Click the back button and a Discovery
Card will pop out in the middle. Scratch and win, there will be three
places you can scratch off, all of them are right, only one has the

Hidden Discovery Card two
Location - area near middle of island in a log.
Behind Taj's tent is a big log that you can enter though either the
left or right side. If you enter from the right the Wizpig's picture of

your left. Click on the hand and trace around the Wizpig's head very
carefully, it doesn't have to be that nice but it can't be sloppy. The
picture will break and a Discovery Card will be behind it. Scratch and
win, there will be three places you can scratch off, all of them are
right, only one has the most coins though. It is random so you will
just have to make a guess.

is really hard to keep it there. The Plane's special is turning really
sharp around corners.
