Question for Virtual Villagers: A New Home

I only have one villager! What do I do? I have maxed out my tech upgrades, but I only have one villager! HELP (:

When this happend to me I did it this way that I am going to tell you now. I am not sure it will work, but you can try.
1. Exit the game and turn off your Nintendo DS
2. Take out your VV card (or whatever you have)
3. Enter the game and choose the not working profile
4. Drag your villager to a hut
5. The hut must need repairing
6. Repair your hut ( it often needs repairing when it has been a storm)
7. Drag your villager to the science table and clear the game
8. Go to the berry bush and have atleast 500 food
9. You must have 2 or more huts
10. Exit game and then go in to it again
11. You should have 2 villagers now
12. Get them into a hut and make them have a baby
13. Wait for the baby to grow up ( this may take several days)
14. When your baby is a child,make sure no huts need repairing (if huts need repairing,then you must repair it!)
15. Make your other villager (from step 11) play the science game and win
16. Make sure you have 500 food or more
17. Exit the game and wait 24 houres
18. Whenever you feel like it the next day check your VV game and WALLA! You now have 8 villagers
