Question for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D

I bought a mask from the shop and I lost princess Zelda autographed paper. I need that to get the red gem and I font have it. So please help. Cheats helps anything!

Please ask questions about LoZ OoT 3D in the appropriate Q&A. This Q&A is for a non-existent version for the DS.

You cannot "buy" a mask from the Happy Mask Shop until you've opened the gate to Death Mountain. Once the path to Death Mountain is open, Zelda's Letter is useless.
I'm going to assume that "red gem" is your attempt at saying either Goron's Ruby or Spiritual Stone of Fire. In order to get it, you need Zelda's Lullaby, Saria's Song, and you need to beat King Dodongo in Dodongo's Cavern. None of which requires further use of Zelda's Letter.

Hmmmmmm... OK, this is not possible, because when you go up Death Mountain, you give away your note. And when that happens, the mask shop coincidentally opens. So maybe you only REALIZED it was gone when you 'bought' the mask, as you only borrow the mask and pay them back when you re-sold it. Anyway, to get the red gem, you go up the mountain and defeat the quest, which doesn't require the letter. So it's basically all a coincidence.
