I've got over the narrow bridge and have met a giant rock at the top of an ice hill. How do I get round it?

For the black rocks you call your deamon and change him into the ferret. Then you have the ferret go to the rock and dig until it is gone by pressing Y repeatedly. Good Luck! I am on chapter 14 and came here to find some help with that.
