Whatever you do, clear game or not, take ansom. He will make things much MUCH easier. Take units that have high move and attack like KAY or something. Take the route to the right and cut a path to the racks of weapons by the light infantry. Put Ansom on the tile with the fence? Banister? Anyway, he will be able rain arrows down on the guardian. If you let Ansom kill most of the units on your way he will be ale to hit the Guardian with his OB which will take about 2 turns off this level.

But if you really must go in guns blazing take Ansom with you still and pick off the archers on the walls. Take Cotton and or selmer with you and soften up the heavy tropers on the other side of the gate. Place Serdic and your own heavy infantry such as Margus close by the spellcasters. Once the reinforcements come it will be your turn again. if you haven't already killed all the Heavy infantry finish them off with Kay, Margus and Serdic while moving further into the fort. Move all your units just out of the reach of enemy reinforcements in the fort and blast them with magic until they get within good striking distance of either Serdic or Margus. Afterwards, when all butts are kicked. Pull down the gates of the command room and kill all the Guardians guards with magic and then finish him off.
