I have a level 54 Metang and all it knows is take down. Where can I train it to evolve.

Get lots of rare candy's. Take a zigzagoon with you everywhere in a cave or the grass, and it will pick up lots of items. Some will be rare candy. I think metang evolves at lvl55. I'm not sure though. Will it learn tm's?
Go to the underground and dig for a long time until you find a bunch of heart scales. You can take them to the guy in pastoria city. Once you wait one more level and let metang evolve he can learn wicked stuff like hammer arm and meteor mash by using heart scales. Then just wait for him to learn zen headbutt and he rocks peoples socks.
? I wonder why it hasn't evolved, my Metang's level is 48. The Battle Zone.
