Question for Pokemon Pearl

I'm at the point were I got the 5th badge. I can't find any galactic people and I can't get into the lake. Can someone plz help?

Also were do you get stregnth?

Wat gym?

Wat gym do you need to use surf?

Ok. For the Galactic people and the lakes, you have to beat the Canalave Gym leader, but first you have to battle your rival on the bridge. Here is what he has:

If you chose Turtwig:
Lv 31 Staravia
Lv 30 Heracross
Lv 32 Buizel
Lv 32 Roselia
Lv 35 Infernape

If you chose Chimchar:
Lv 31 Staravia
Lv 30 Hercross
Lv 32 Roselia
Lv 32 Ponyta
Lv 35 Prinplup

If you chose Piplup:
Lv 31 Staravia
Lv 30 Hercross
Lv 32 Buizel
Lv 32 Ponyta
Lv35 Grotle

Once you are done that, go to the gym. The types that work well would be fire, fighting ground and water. He has a Lv 36 Bronzor, Lv 36 Steelix, Lv 39 Bastidon. After that your rival will tell you to go to the Library to meet with Professor Rowan. After that there will be an "earthquake". Then go to Lake Valor and fight the Commander. Then go to Lake Verity to Battle a commander. Then go to Snowpoint City to Lake Acuity to help your rival after his loss to a commander.

Strength can be found on the top floor of the Lost Tower. You receive it in Celestic Town and I suggest using it when you battle Canalave
