Question for Pokemon Pearl

I have 3 questions.
1. After you beat the Elite 4 and go to the second part of Victory Road, and get through it, you end up at Route 224. At the end of the Route, there is a gray tablet. What does this tablet do?

2.I heard that you can download event items from wi-fi, is this true? If it is, then how do you do it?

3.In the Pokemon mansion, there are 2 hallways blocked by maids and they wont let you through, is there any way past them?

1.You need to attend a special netendo event in a city that has a Pokemon center store or so. In the USA those events didn't happen yet so if you live in USA you'll just have to wait.

2.Also you need mystery gifts to download the item if you don't attend the event. You get mystery gifts in the tv station talk to the guy on the 2nd or 3rd floor and he asks you a question and you put everyone happy then you put wi-fi connection.
