Question for Pokemon Pearl

I just got this game yesterday on the 25 of may, and i'm almost right next to the town where the third gym is, is there anything special I should know about the leader or the town and if so can you give me some tips on how to win.

He/she (forgot) has a lucario at lv 31, A machoke and I forgot the other one. But it's a fighting type gym so take bird pokemon.

It's still April, o_O.

The third leader loves Fighting types. Her team is Meditite and Machoke at Level 27 and a Lucario at Level 30. Bring a Flying type and a Fighting or Fire type.

Her Lucario has a sitrus berry. Get a staravia or some flying type with pluck and use that first.
