1. Which is the best starter in your opinion the grass,water,or fire?

Well I belive the best starter is the grass, but they are all good.
The new HM is fog clear.
Well probly has hard as the last games.

As for the Rival...i find all the rival boring...they doesn't seem to be strong in my opinion...they could be strong if your Pokemon are fairly weak and or your new to pokemon...

1) Chimchar, the Fire Stater. He can becomne a Fire/Fighitng like Blaziken, which means he can KO the final evolution of Piplup which is Water/Steel with a Fighting attack, and beating the Grass starter is natural.

2) There are only two new HM's, Rock Climb, HM 08, and Fog Clear, HM 05.

3) Rival battles are easy. Quite frankly, if you've played Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, that's how easy they seem. The Gym Battles get crazy. The levels are much higher.

Well for me the best starter Pokemon is the fire monkey. The new hm's are rock climb and fog clear. And the gym battles are much harder but the rival battles are just like ruby sapphire and emerald

My theory for most of the games (it may apply for this game, but it might not) is that the grass Pokemon are good for the gyms, but are terrible at the elite four. The fire and water Pokemon aren't very good at the gyms (usually) and good at the elite four. That might apply to this or it might not. Everyone pretty much answered your other questions so I just put this up.
