Prof. Oak

Whenever he rates your pokedex, he always says something afterward. When I reached the 400 mark, he said I should go back and check area's I've been before. Will that really work?

It may or may not. It depends on if you have a poke radar yet or not and if you have the national dex yet or not. If you do then yea but you have to go to a grass area and then you have to use a repel (Any) and then use the "poke radar" then any grass the shacks alittle and looks really diffrent from the others will have a rare Pokemon that you havent found before.

Well, you still don't have all the Pokemon yet, because there are really 493, not 490. Once you get these missing three Pokemon, then he will say you have completed the pokedex. The Pokemon you're missing are Shaymin, Arceus, and Darkrai.
