You need the old Game Boy Advance games (Ruby FireRed ect) in the GBA slot then load up your Diamond/Pearl game were it says Continue/New Game ect there should be something called migrate go there then you can get new Pokemon from the GBA games.

NOTE:You will not be able to return the Pokemon you migrated from the GBA back so be careful.

Michael answered:

Well, there are two ways: Trade for the Pokemon you need over Nintendo Wi-Fi or Migrate Pokemon from past Pokemon versions.

Hope this helps you!!!

Avery201 answered:

You are going to need games from the gba (Ruby, saphire, emerald, firered, and leafgreen) to get the other pokemon. You are going to need to get far in those games then after you have done all of that then put one of the gba games inside the gba spot on your DS. Then start Diamond/Pearl and at the main menu when it says continue, new game, and options scroll down and there should be a tab saying migrate from the gba game you have in the DS gba slot. Go there and make sure the Pokemon that you wanted to migrate are in the PC on the other gba Pokemon games. You can only pick six Pokemon a day so make sure you don't have that much Pokemon you want to migrate. Also when you migrate a Pokemon you can't bring it back to the GBA. Also another way to get more Pokemon from the GBA series is to get them from Coleussum and Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness. I hope this helps!!

I'm not sure but I think you can get a GBA game and go to the beach in Sandgem town and get in a building once you reach land... You get Park balls and catch away
