Mystery gift only works with the nintendo event or no? And also, does anyone know when the next event that will occur close to Plymouth, and how much it costs!!!????

Yes, that is correct. The only way that the Mystery gift option will work is if you use it at an Nintendo Event. For some reason, the Pokemon Company decided to make it that way, I think it actually pretty dumb. I am not sure when the next Nintendo Event will occur near Plymouth, but there is supposedly going to be a World Wide event where they hand out Darkrai's. Unfortunately, that is all I know so you will have to check Pokemon.com yourself for more information on the event. Nintendo Events are usually free, so it should not cost anything. Hope this helps.
