You must have a Hasty nature to get a female Pikachu.

Can you guys tell me how to be a female Pikachu in Super Mystery Dungeon? It's really annoying that I can't choose my own gender. That question at the end should be "are you a boy or a girl?" And then when you choose your partner, it should be "is your partner a boy or a girl?" Then, Pikachu's tail should be altered depending on which one you choose.
