Question for Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team

I'm a fugitive and I need help beating Articuno I'm a Torchic and my partener is Squrtile but I can't seem to beat articuno

Torchic may beat able to beat them. Plainly ,try finding stun ,sleep, or hunger seeds or try to level up to about 25

Articuno is level 33 with 450 hp! But if you have a fire type like your Torchic , just level up to 24 and he should be easy , keep blasting him with your best fire type attacks and he'll be down in no time.When you start the battle , use a gravelerock , 20 damage helps a lot when you are nearing the end of the battle.
