Question for Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team

Hello,

I have killed rayquaza, beat the story mode.
I had a squirtle and a charmander
I could use the evolution cave and used it on my squirtle and I became wartortle and then blastoise.
How can I make charmander evolve?
I traveling by myself in the game (outside the dungeons) but I can't seem to play as charmander please someone tell me what to do!
For entering the evolution cave I can only bring 1 Pokemon how can I switch leaders?

Ok as alakazam said, Pokemon will only evolve at a certien stage, I don't don't even know what that means but give char couple of red gummis and some ginseng.

Then heres how you make char your, say he's staying on mt.clef, approash him and make him join team, then after that make him leader and there you go.

1. Charmander evolves into Charmeleon at level 16, then to Charizard at level 36.
2. To play as Charmander, or any other Pokemon for that matter, go to it's friend area(Charmanders is mt. Cleft.), then tell it to join your team. Talk to it again and right below stand by should be "Make leader" choose it to play as charmander. But Squirtle/Wartortle/Blastoise will still be on your team, so go to it's friend area and hit stand by on Squirtle/Wartortle/Blastoise. Then you can play as Charmander alone.
3. Refer to No. 2

When you are Blastoise alone, go to Chamander's friend area and talk to him
It will say Join Team
Press Join Team
Then talk to him again and press Become Leader under Stand By
Then you are chamander
Then go to Blastoise's friend area and talk to him and press stand by
And then you can go into the Cave

The way you switch leaders is , when you go to a Pokemon to have it join your team ,after you haveselected JOIN TEAM, you select the Pokemon again and it should have the option MAKE LEADER.after you have selected it as a leader and you've gone back to your rescue base, you bring up your menu, select team,and then go to the Pokemon that you want off the team, select it and press STAND BY.

Charmander is capable of evolving at level 16, and charmeleon is capable of evolving at level 36.
