Question for Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team

I'm not doing so well on my file I finally beat Rayquaza on. Its Blaziken and Swampert if you wanna know. My question is, what starter and partner did YOU beat the game with? This will be a way for me to find a good starter and partner for myself.

Maybe you just needed them to be at higher levels? I used Mudkip and Pikachu as my leader and partner, and had no problem getting through the main story mode-which is what you just finished, right? Now you can get rid of your starters and use whatever Pokemon you like, so why the need to find new starters? Go recruit and train whoever you want! Mudkip (Swampert) is a great leader, but if you just beat Rayquazza, how was it Swampert & Blaziken?!? Unless I'm confused by your question...
By the way, are you saving files on AR Max Duo? I can't seem to get it to save any files for this game, but all my other DS games I could! What's with that? I wanted to play as Skitty for a second game, but I'm not about to erase my current game-I'm at Lucario Rank, got tons of stuff, and happy with it, so I guess I'll go get a copy of Red for Skitty...hope this helps!

If you are having trouble theni would suggest going to a dungeon you know you can beat and train there until your a higher level.I used mudkip and charmander so that later on when charmeleon turned into charizard I could go to gulpins shop and charizard could remember heat wave which helped me out a lot in monster houses since it covers the whole room. Also , swampert learns all kinds of powerful moves later on which will help you out with the legendaries.

No it doesn't matter you can recruit all the starters and I started out with a evee and a chikoreta
