I just started a new game and was wondering... When you choose not to give a name at the begining, when they evolve will their name change like what happens to snubbul when he evolves he changes name e.g. Snubbul -> grannbul. I need to know because no one wants a charizard named charmander.

If you choose not to give it a name, then the name will change when the Pokémon evolves. For instance, if you have a Charmander, when it evolves it's name will be Charmeleon and so on. The only circumstance where it wouldn't happen is if you named your Pokémon "Charmander".
