Question for Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team

I got to Floor 94 and there was a Mew in a monster house, I had a lvl.100 charizard and I had just let a haunter from the floor before join me. I had a friend bow equipped to my charizard and I had 10 music boxes in my inventory, but it still didn't join. Why??

Its best to avoid letting a Pokemon join you unless it is Mew, deoxys, etc. Because your team leader needs to 'deal the final blow', not the partner Pokemon ( Haunter, in this case.) and also, I am currently working on getting all legendary Pokemon, I also can't be bothered to get a friend bow so it's much harder to get them. Hope this helped! :D

You probably didn't have enough space in your party. Mew might be five stars.

This happened for 1 of 2 reasons:

1. It wasn't the team leader who dealt the final blow to Mew.

2. You just weren't lucky enough. Mew is unlikely to join, meaning it's about a 75% chance he won't ask to join.

The best way to up your chances is to be level 100 and to have a Friend Bow. Normally, there is a 0.1% chance of recruiting Mew. With the level 100 Pokemon and the Friend Bow, the chance is increased to 34.1% (24% 10%). So, you should have a one in three chance of geting one now. It's a great one to have; I have one too. Best of luck!
