How do I get legendary island as a friend area? Please help

You want zapdos here is tip to get him you go all the way around whole area then defeat him he should want to join you're team it did it for me
I just battled him again by myself and he joined my team. I didn't have Legendary island but I got it as soon as he joined my team.
Go to mt. Thunder alone and defeat Zados after beating the game. Zapdos will then join you and you´ll get legendary island. hope tha helps!
