You can't change your name once you make it, unless you make an AR code for it.

and to change your name to Troy you can only have that name at the beginning of the game when you chose your name.

You can only choose your name at the start of the game. Once set, it cannot be changed unless you delete your data and start over.

So first go to the name changer of Pokemon and press..
L+are to activate.Then talk to him and you can type your name.Code is
