Question for Pokemon Diamond

I was on the worldwide trading system thing, and I put up an Azelf for a Rayquaza. Well when I got the trade the Rayquaza was like black. Is that supposed to happen?
Is that how they look on diamond or is it a kind of virus?

Man, you are so lucky! You got given a shiny Pokemon, and a shiny legendary at that. It's probably a hacked one, but even so, they're super rare! Like 1 in every 8400! So imagine playing your game 8400 times.... Finding rayquaza, and every time except one, it's green. Only once will he be black. (even if it's a hacked one, it's still pretty cool!)

CHerish it, the chances of you seeing another shiny Pokemon at all (without cheating) are probably nil!

DeathNote_ answered:

Not quite a virus, but good guess. Congratulations you have a shiny Rayquaza. Shiny Pokemon are way more rare than other Pokemon of the same species, in the fact that they look different, in sometimes better ways.

Sab.z answered:

Wow! You are lucky! If it is black it isn't a virus or a mistake made by the creators (like missingno in previous games) it's a shiny pokemon! These Pokemon are 1 in 180972 or somthing like that and they are better because they have higher stats man you are lucky!

pokeking543 answered:

Man,did you get lucky! If the Raquayza was black, and it was legit, then you are looking at an honest to goodness shiny Raquayza caught in the wild! I feel sorry for the poor sap who gave that to you. And, no, its not a virus.

619inthehouse answered:

Yes; he is a "SHINY" Pokemon, he has a different color that makes him look better

Shadow_Cresselia_101 answered:

v-gamer answered:

It's GTS, but close enough :] Tell me you're not lucky! :O Someone actually traded you the shiny version of Rayquaza! Of course, they might have cheated to get it >_>

adamco13 answered:

Its a shiny version of it all Pokemon have these versions but in different colors. They are the rarest thing in the game(shiny of any Pokemon form I mean)

100 KING answered:

That means the Rayquaza you got was SHINY. Shiny Pokemon are a rarer version of the normal pokemon. It is not a virus and it has no bonus. It is the same pokemon. Just very rare. The chance of you finding one in the game is 1/8172 or something. And the one you have cannot be hacked because it can be traded through GTS.

pkmnaddict13 answered:

The rayquaza is shiny it's no virus shiny are just really really rare you're just lucky very lucky
