Question for Pokemon Diamond
This is going to sound so stupid. But how do you use the union room. I thought the wi-fi made it where your friend does not have to be near you. My friend lives in Colo and Im in Louisiana. We have ds lites with wi-fi, we talkedi n the B1f floor but the union room does not seem to work for us. We go in at the same time but where alone. What are we post to do? Is it only for people around you or is it for the whole world?

The union room is only for people in the vicinity of you. The whole world is in the basement. You guys are going to need to keep talking in the basement until you guys get close to each other to use the union room.

I'm sorry, but the union room serves just for the wireless communication(when the person is nearby you). You'll have to trade by GTS, so buy a nintendo WI-FI Usb connector, or make a wireless connection at home or at a WI-FI hotspot. For more information on this subject, go to www.nintendowifi.com

Hey. There's no such thing as a stupid question. 
Ok, sorry, but you and your friend have to get together, because you have to be in range to use the Union Room. Like, close together. It is not like Wi-fi, you have to be close. If you want to chat as trainers, then sorry. If you want to trade, use the GTS. If you want to battle, then I'm not sure. It all depends on what you want to do.

Yea, sorry man the union room is only for people around you. Though you can battle on the basement floor. But the union room is only for people that are close. But I think you can buy this kind of headset thing that acts like a phone when you battle eachother, so you can talk while battling.

The union room only has like a 15foot radius... -.- if you want to trade or battle go into the basement and do it there.

Ok I am going to anserw you're Q the nintendo DS has wireless connection not wifi and for the wirelsess connection you can only be 30 feet apart
As for wifi you have otbuy a connector and do all this other crap

Ok everything on the 2nd floor of the Pokemon center wont work for wi-fi trust me, me and my friend tried see he lives in ohio and I live in new jersey weve been using wi-fi for a while
