Battle-wise, who is better, Electivire, or Magmortar?

Both are good battle Pokemon since Magmotar is good at Special Attack and Electrivire is good at Attack. Electrivire has the cooler ability though since when he is hit by an Electric Attack, he is not only unharmed, his speed increases. The only problem with Motor Drive is that too many people will avoid using Electric attacks on Electivire. At least Magmortar's Flame Body effects any direct contact with a burn. Overall, they are both useful in combat.

I would say Elecdavire because he has better attack and defense and his speed is about where Magmortar's is. Magmortar has better special attack and special defense. It all depends on what moves your going to be using with them to see which is better.

Electivire, it has good defence and special attack, and can learn moves like rock type and fire type.

Electvire has a Speed and Attack advantage, whileMagmortar has higher Sp.Attack and Sp.Defense, but your safest bet would be Electivire, because it's Speed (Speed can kill) and one weakness (Ground) compared to Magmortars three (Ground, Rock, Water). But, that can change in a battle even with these things mentioned. So really, just choose who suits you and your strategy and style.

Even though Electivire can learn rock and fire type moves, Magmortar can learn Solarbeam, Psychic, Brick Break, and even Stone Egde. Believe me. I have both Electvire and Magmortar. It all comes down to preferences. I, personally, would choose Magmortar, it has alot of moves it can learn.
