Question for Pokemon Diamond

Um, this might be kind of hard, so I'm sorry. I used the Run anywhere code on my friends Action Replay. There is a sea in between the New and Full moon islands, and using it, I got from Full to New Moon Island. However, when I tried it at the Spear Pillar, after some running, I was in a dark zone, and then the area changed from Spear Pillar to Iron Island. And if I kept going up, the area changed to Jubilife City, however the screen was still dark, and all I could see was my character. My friend and I got Shaymin by using it on Route 224 as well. So my question is, will we have to continue our running through various places? Or will we just have to find another way to get Arceus? Also, using the same cheat, would it still be possible to use the Elite Four door glitch? Also, as a warning to others who have this cheat, do NOT go into the Union Room using that glitch. It freezes your game.
