Is Magnezone any better than Metagross? I can't seem to choose whom.

That kinda depends on how you raise both of them and on what atacks you put on them.

As you should know Magnezone is an Eletric-Steel pokemon. Metagross is a Steel-Psychic pokemon. Magnezone has 3 weaknesses:Fire, Ground(double-super effective), and Fighting. Metagross has 2 weaknesses:Fire, Ground. It also depends what type you want. If you want an Electric-type, choose Magnezone. If you want a Psychic-type, choose Metagross. Me personly, I would choose Metagross because it can learn some powerful moves especially if you raise it's special stats with Calm Mind

Both are good Pokemon to have. It depends on what role you want to use. If physical sweeping is what you need, pick Metagross. If you want a special sweeper, go with Magnezone. They are both helpful steel types, if they have the right moves.

In general, one Pokemon is no better than another pokemon. They all have some weaknesses that may be the others' strength.
They're both steel, so if you like the psychic type, choose Metagross. If you like the electric type, choose Magnezone.
Each person has a taste for certain Pokemon, like trainers within the game. Some might choose Metagross, others might choose Magnezone.
