What are the starters for the American version and which one should I chose..

I don't know their translated names, but the Grass-type one will be the best of the three.

Here's the 3 starters (they don't have english names yet)
The 3 starters are fire, water, and grass types like in every game they've made so far. Now here's the 3 starters and their types

Grass: Naetoru
Fire: Hikozaru
Water: Pocchama

Now...for the which one to choose question. It's all up to you on that one.

It's still the same...the name's are different but you still get the same pokemon. The Monkey, The Turtle and the Penguin!

Pocchama, Naetoru, Hikozaru. Choose Pocchama because as a water type, he pwns Hikozaru, and if you teach it ice moves, it x4 affects Naetoru's final form which is Grass and Ground.

Fire monkey = Hizokaru (I'm not sure...)
Grass turtle = Naetoru
Water penguin = Poochama

I don't care for any of those, but I'd go with the fire one just 'cause he's fire.

The grass starter is Turtwig

The fire starter is Chimchar

And the water starter stays Pochama

Piplup, chimchar( strongest out of all of them,) and turtwig

The three starters + evolutions are:
Grass: Turtwig->Grotle->Torterra
Fire: Chimchar->monferno->infernape
Water: Piplup->prinplup->Empoleon

The translated Japanese to English names are as follows:

Fire Starter: Hikozaru in Japanese, Chimchar in English.
Water Starter: Pochama in Japanese, Piplup in Enlgish.
Grass Starter: Naetoru in Japanese, Turtwig in English.

Chimchar's final evolution is Infernape, which is just like Blaziken from Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald. It's a Fire/Fighting type.

Piplup's final evolution is Empoleon, which is Water/Steel. Chimchar's final evolution could use a Fighting type move to beat out the Steel Trait of Empoleon. Just judging by that in theory, Infernape would be the wise choice to make.
