Wat is a "nintendo event" because I want a rare Pokemon but it's says I get it from a nintendo event.
Do you need wi-fi for a nintendo event

A Nintendo Event is an event Nintendo helds on a random location, and it's extremely rare. They are usually planned months before, so unless you live close to where it will be, and you're well informed, the chances of going there are small. In these events Nintendo gives EVERYONE a special gift trough wi-fi, usually a rare Pokemon that can't be obtained any other way, or one of the famous "tickets", that can lead to secret areas and/or Pokemons in the game. Hope I've cleared the doubt, cheers ;]
