Heeeellllp!!! Firstly, I am a mom of a Pokemon crazed son with AR. We are using Pokemon Pearl. I know very little about the game or how to play. My son is only 7 and keeps asking me to look up "cheats" which I have somewhat figured out. He can't read well enough to do this himself. I tried adding the Pokemon modifier cheat and spent over an hour reading about how to use it--i'm not sure which folder to try to "add" it to because no matter which way we try==what combination, when you press L & R, he only gets 493 heart scales (not sure what that even is) and 999 masterballs. How do I change it to 493 masterballs. I think I understand the whole subtraction thing to try to get the right Pokemon to show up in the grass but I just can't get past the 493 heart scales.
Comment:(Jul 2 2008) thanks to i am the walrus. i really needed specific instructions as I am unfamiliar with the game. i followed that one plus another which told me to hold R & A then go into the trainer card and some more buttons. not sure if necessary but it finally worked! yeah. thanks again everyone

Well from past experiance it works with the heart scales too. And for more help please vist the AR forum. Http://forums.supercheats.com/forums.php?forum=1828
It should work just the same with heart scales, you just have to mwke sure you are holding down the left trigger when walking around in grass patches. Note that if you try and get Mew(#151) or Deoxys(#386) they will not obey you no matter how many gyms you have defeated but if you go in to the action replay section in either diamond or pearl (both sets of codes work for both games) you will find a list that tells you how to make certain Pokemon appear in the mining museum which if done with the two afore mentioned Pokemon will make the obident.
