What are IVs EVs and MS?

What does IV, EV, and MS stand for!? I was looking around in the Actoin Replay codes and many of the posts said the the Pokemon you get from the code they posted had max or good IVs and EVs. Then I head of something abbreviated to "MS". As if the first thing wasen't confusing enough. Someone please explain!

IV means Individual Value. EV means effort Value. I am not sure what MS means though, so sorry about that. I am not sure about that, but you can go here...http://forums.supercheats.com/forums.php?forum=1828 and ask for help there.

Ok well EV and IV are common things in the game everyone should worry about. IV stands for individual value. They are hidden values programmed into every Pokemon randomly. They are a number between 0-31 (31 being the best) which increase your pokemons stat by essentially that value. They are a big reason why two otherwise exactly the same Pokemon have different stats. People attempt to get the perfect Pokemon with 31 and 30 IVs in all stats.
EV stands for effort value, they are far easier to control then IVs. When you first get a Pokemon it has 0 for all it's EVs. As you defeat Pokemon they donate EV values to the pokemon(s) which defeated it. Each Pokemon gets a total of 510 EVs 252 of which can be put into a single stat. So what do they do? Every time 4 EVs in a single stat are obtained the stat is raised by +1 when the next level arrives. Pokemon will give out from 1-3 points for the stat it is generally strongest in.
I have good reason to believe MS stands for max stats, a common thing to ask for when you are on an AR and want the 'ultimate' pokemon. Frankly I don't see the point and MS will forever mean 'mass spec' to me.
