can you catch a legendary with a great ball?
Say I got a legendary real weak could I catch it with a great ball?

I think you can catch a Legendary with a great ball. You just have to be real lucky. I know you can because my best friend caught a Palkia with a Poke ball!

ha ha been catching all legendary dogs and birds (xd and coloseum) lugia palkia giratina and the three regi in great balls oh and also got a dialga in a pokeball first try with full hp. Ithink I am a bit lucky :P

Yes, you can. It is possible, but almost impossible to do. I have done the classic act of mocking mewtwo by catching him with a measly pokeball. All you have to do is weaken the legendary Pokemon till his health is red, and inflict a status effect on him. One such as paralysis, or sleep, those are the best status effects to inflict on a Pokemon that you want to catch.

Yes, you can, but you have to be lucky, and be prepared for a long wait. Putting it to sleep, paralyzing it, or freezing it will make it's catch rate higher, which means you will be able to capture it easier.

You can catch it with any poke ball. You just need to get it's health down to like 3-1. You just need to keep trying and eventually it will work.

Highly unlikely, as with Legendaries are known for their very low catch rate, but it can be done, as said by gamer_gurl.

Yes you can catch a legendary with a great ball. You will have to get it real weak and probably put it to sleep or paralze it though. I know this is possible because I once caught Mewtwo with a great ball.

Yes you can I've caught a legendary with every type (including Net Timer nest pokeball great ball ultra ball and MAster ball)

Yeah you can. I caught deoxys in a great ball. It was hard but i did it

Yeah, you can. I caught Dialga with a great ball, because I had like 20 ultra balls and they all failed. Then I was like, what the heck, and I threw my great ball. It actually caught Dialga. I did the same for Giritina, Mespirit, Azelf, and Uxie. I think that great balls are actually better for legendaries, but not normal Pokemon.
