You evolve huanter by trading it with someone.
P.s. Don't make it hold an everstone or else it wont evolve.

I think you are supposed to trade it to a friend to evolve. I'm not entirely sure.

Uhm, you Just Trade it to someone, then Trade back to get Gengar..

By trading to another trainer who will trade it back.When you trade a haunter it automatically evolves so the best thing to do would be trade a haunter for a haunter or a haunter for any other Pokemon that evolves by trading. This is all on GTS of course.Unless you have a good friend.

All you have to do is trade it to a friend and then have them trad it back to you and voila! You are the proud owner of a brand new GENGAR!! XD

Trade it. Make sure it is not the Haunter you get from the girl in Snowpiont, as she attached an Everstone to it. If yours has that item, take it off and trade it.

You have to trade him into another Diamond or Pearl. (Then, you have to trade him back xP)
