Question for Pokemon Diamond

Hey guys. Me again. I want to know what the difference between focush sash and focus band is. I've seen focush sash save Pokemon only when they had full hp. For example, I hit a garchomp which had full hp with ice punch and the focus sash saved him with 1hp. But lets say the garchomp was at half hp, and I hit him with ice punch. Could the focus sash save him then? Or is that where the focus band comes in? I don't know how these items work, but i'd appreciate it if you could tell me exactly how they work. Example scenario please. =)

Ok,focus sash always saves a Pokemon that has full health,were as focus band can but not always save a Pokemon that has half hp,or some type of dameged hp.

Lets say you hit a kyogre that has full hp with thunder,and lets say it should kill him,well since he had focus sash on him he would be lest with one hp.

Now lets say this time kyogre is in yellow hp, and has focus band on him this time he gets hit by thunder, and it should kill him, well he could live due to the focus band, but he also has a chance of not living,(focus band might not work).Now do you see?

The Focus Sash works only when the pokemons' HP is FULL, however will ALWAYS work in this case.
The Focus Band works anytime, no matter how much HP the Pokemon has, however it will NOT always work.

For example: Let's use your Garchomp and Ice Punch.

Garchomp is holding the Focus Sash and has full HP, and a Pokemon attacks with Ice Punch; he WILL have HP remaining, no matter what.

Let's fully heal Garchomp, and have him hold the Focus Band. The same Pokemon attacks with him Ice Punch; he might have some HP remaining, or he will faint.

Again, heal Garchomp; but use a potion if he survives. If he faints, just use a Revive and leave him be. Leave him holding Focus Band. The same pokemon attacks him with Ice Punch; again, he might have some HP remaining, or he will faint.

The reason why people use Focus Sash instead of Focus Band is because Focus Band does NOT work all the time; however, Focus Sash will work 100% of the time when the pokemon's HP is full.
