Leaving the cave

I am still near the beginning. I have a dagger, a compass and the magic pole. I am in a cave and have fought several pirates and collected all money, treasure and apples. I need to leave through an exit half way up a wall, there are three moving levels that change when I stand on square silver slabs, and can see I can leave when on two of these. However I cannot reach any of them. There is a ramp to the left but cannot jump far enough to access the right one. I have tried restarting and leaving a case to jump from, but this does not work either. Where do I go, what do I do - please? Thank you.

First, you had stand at the left square silver slab and than ay the right square silver slab.
