Just let them play alot after awhile of playing the face in the little red circle on the top screen will be like this : :D that means they are friends

Just put them in the living room (any room will work but mine became friends in the living room) and take a toy and let them play and get to know each other and if the red face near the pet names will look like this :D or this 
but it's better to look like :D
